6. Look 5 years into the future when deciding what to register and understand your next best alternative to domains. A domainer needs $7 a year from a domain for it to pay for itself which could mean 70 visitors whereas a developer may need only 7 visitors if his cpc cost for visitors on Google is $1. Furthermore, if cpc costs rise to $7 a click in 5 years, the developer will only need 1 single visitor a year to be at breakeven.
A revenue of just $0.05 a day per domain yields $18.25 per domain per year.
Of course, one domain isn't going to change anyone's life... but accumulating 50 or 100 similar domains, or even 500-1000 domains that perform at the minimal efficiency of this one and suddenly it's looking like a VERY nice revenue stream indeed.
Find a domain that makes $1 a day and that's $365 a year.
Find 27 of these names and you're better off by $10,000 a year.
270 such names bring you to 6 figures.
