Parece que ESNIC no será el único Registry que modificará puntos importantes de su normativa, un reciente email de opensrs indica que desde el próximo 15 de Marzo será necesario indicar authcode para las transferencias de .nl, el sistema lo comprobará de forma automatizada, acelerando el proceso que actualmente lleva entre 3 y 5 días en completarse normalmente. Asimismo el sistema EPP se utilizará también para los registros y modificaciones de los dominios, evitando el proceso manual que hasta ahora era necesario.

Next week, beginning on March 15th, 2010, the .NL Registry is moving to a fully-automated, Extensible Provisioning Protocol-based (EPP) Registry model. As a result, there is an extended 24 hour maintenance window beginning on Tuesday, March 15th, 2010 at 12:00 (CET).

OpenSRS is ready for the change and will be continuing to offer complete support for .NL domain registrations after the switch. Once the changeover occurs, .NL domain orders will be processed immediately and manual processing will no longer be required.

New: .NL transfers will require an AUTH CODE

There is a small change that you should be aware of around the transfer process for .NL domains. Currently, there is no AUTH CODE required to perform transfers of .NL domains from one registrar to another. With the change to EPP, the .NL Registry will require that the registrant supply a transfer token (AUTH CODE) with the transfer request. That token is obtained from the losing registrar (the registrar where the domain is registered prior to the transfer).

AUTH CODE support for .NL domains is the same as other domain extensions in OpenSRS with transfer AUTH CODES. The AUTH CODE can be found in the end-user management console (http://manage.opensrs.net) and in the Reseller Web Interface (RWI).

Maintenance Window Details

SIDN, the .NL Registry operator has scheduled an extended maintenance window to perform the cutover to the new system.

The .NL Registry will be unavailable for a full 24 hours beginning on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 at 12:00 (CET). It is expected that everything will be back online beginning on Wednesday, March 17th at 12:00 (CET). OpenSRS System Status will be updated at the beginning and end of the window, and as required throughout the maintenance period.

During the maintenance window, domain provisioning will be unavailable and whois will be intermittently unavailable. Domains will continue to resolve at all times.

La media normalmente es de entre 3 y 5 días. En ocasiones puede tardar más, supongo que dependerá del trabajo que tengan, no creo que sean muchos empleados.
